Introduction

Welcome to the Recall documentation!

What is Recall?

Recall is a web application that makes memorizing things easy. It applies proven learning methods such as spaced repetition to significantly increase the amount of information you can memorize in a given amount of time.

Recall is content-agnostic, so you can use it to memorize anything you want.

Recall is currently in beta and is free to use. We are actively improving the application and your feedback is very welcome. Feel free to reach out to us at contact@recall.cards.

Spaced repetition and active recall

Recall makes learning more efficient by leveraging two key learning methods:

  • Spaced repetition is an evidence-based learning technique that involves reviewing information at increasing intervals over time to enhance memory retention. It has been proven to increase the rate of learning (source). Recall uses an advanced spaced repetition algorithm to predict with accuracy when you should review each card. Learn more about the algorithm.
  • Active recall suggests long-term memory is increased when part of the learning is devoted to retrieving information from memory (source, source).
