What we collect and how we use it
We collect personal information that you submit directly to us. When creating an account, you are required to provide an email address. We use this information to:
- Send you occasional product announcements or notifications related to your learning activity;
- Communicate with you in case you request support or share feedback with us.
We also collect the content you create in Recall, such as decks and cards, along with usage data like your review history and performance statistics. This data is tied to your account and used to power the app's core features, such as scheduling reviews and tracking your progress.
We do not collect personal information from third parties.
How we share your information
We may share your personal information with third-party service providers to deliver our services. For example, we use a third-party service to send transactional emails. We strictly limit the information shared with these providers to what is necessary to deliver the service.
We may share your information with law enforcement agencies, courts, or other government bodies when required by law.
AI and MCP connector access
If you connect Recall to an AI assistant using our MCP server, that assistant can read and write your deck and card data on your behalf, based on the actions you ask it to perform. This means your deck content, cards, and related data may be sent to and processed by the AI provider you're using. We do not control how that provider handles data once it's sent to them, so we recommend reviewing their privacy policy as well.
Control over your information
You can update your personal information at any time by visiting your account settings. You can also delete your account and associated data at any time by visiting your account settings.
You can also unsubscribe from email notifications by visiting the email preferences page.
How we use cookies
Recall uses cookies to store your session and preferences. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.
Data retention
We retain your personal information as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and associated data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do change the Privacy Policy, we will also revise the "last updated" date.
